A player measuring zero on PGSI is a non-problem gambler; 1-2 is a low-risk bettor; 3-7 is a moderate risk gambler; 8-27 is a problem gambler. Personal beliefs, perceptions about betting impact the gambling attitude of a player. 

A lifestyle of an individual, factored by their age, marital, employment status, influences the gambling attitude of a gambler. Middle-aged men and women who are divorced or separated are more likely to use smartphones or supplementary devices than married men or women. This may be associated with the first segment individuals stay away from home or computers more often or have more leisure time. Age plays a significant role while choosing the mode of access to online gambling. Younger people prefer smartphones to access online gambling, as they are more comfortable and proficient with this device. Gamblers using smartphones have higher PGSI scores and behave differently in respect to gambling, and indulge in a greater number of casino games.
